Hey, my name is Jeroen Benard, born on February 16, 1991 in Rotterdam The Netherlands. At the age of 7 I started to play tennis at a local club and was hooked from the first moment. At the age of 12 I had to make a choice between football and tennis. Which obviously led to tennis.
I have played throughout my childhood in all the Dutch age categories until the age of 16. In 2007 I have made the switch and went abroad to practice tennis at 6ème Sens. This is the academy of Justine Henin and Carlos Rodriquez. I have played the ITF Junior Circuit and after that I started to play the ITF Men, “futures”. I reached a career high in singles of 800 and 650 in doubles.
In 2013 I had to make the though decision to stop my career as a professional tennis player because of shoulder injuries. These injuries resulted in 2 surgeries. From that moment I shifted my focus towards coaching.
From late 2013 until July 2016 I have worked as a sparring partner and travel coach for the tennisschool of Helene de Kreek. I have worked there with a lot of passion and fun, but I felt that I wanted to be more on the road so that’s why I made the decision to start my own company. In march 2016 I got my KNLTB license as an official tennis coach.
So on the 1st of August 2016 I started my own company called JB.T. And I am glad that you are reading this because that means you found my website! On this website you can find information regarding the services i can offer players and coaches.
Have a look at the website and I hope we can work together in the future..
